I Believe in Care That Feels Safe, Steady, and Human

I grew up in a family shaped by experiences that existed before I had words for them. My parents lived through war around the time I was born, and that history—along with cultural expectations—quietly influenced our family dynamics. Safety, emotion, and connection were present, but often unspoken or understood differently.

As I got older, I became deeply curious about how trauma lives on—how it shows up in relationships, in the body, and in the nervous system, even when people are doing their best. I saw how someone can appear “put together” on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode on the inside.

That curiosity led me to trauma-focused psychology. Along the way, I learned that healing isn’t about pushing through pain or revisiting memories before you’re ready. It’s about creating safety first—helping the nervous system settle, making sense of patterns, and moving at a pace that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.

If parts of this story resonate with you, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
